Here are the results for August 6th, episode of AEW Dynamite.
Singles Match: The Death Riders’ Jon Moxley vs. JetSpeed’s “Speedball” Mike Bailey
The match starts off with Speedball kicking Moxley in the corner. Bailey Speedball then hits some chops and he climbs the second rope, punching Moxley in the face. Moxley then gets out of it and he gets Speedball in the corner. Moxley then gets on the second rope and he hits Speedball with a right hand. Moxley then hits a body slam and he goes for the cover, but Speedball kicks out. Moxley then hits some forearms to the face and he throws Speedball to the ropes, but Speedball hits a kick to the face. Moxley then falls to the outside of the ring and Speedball gets on the ring apron. Moxley then gets back in the ring. Moxley then hits a poke to the eyes and Speedball spills to the outside. Moxley then distracts the referee and Shafir trips Speedball down to the floor.
Kevin Knight then gets in Shafir’s face as Moxley sends Speedball back into the ring. Moxley then gets in Knight’s face and both men are face to face. Speedball then hits a moonsault off the second rope on Moxley on the outside of the ring. Moxley then leans onto the barricade as Speedball stands on top of the barricade and hits a double knees on Moxley’s back.
Speedball then delivers a chop on Moxley’s chest in the corner. Moxley then returns the favor, then delivers some forearms on Speedball and hits a boot on the side of his face. Speedball then delivers some kicks on Moxley and hits a dropkick on him off the middle rope, then delivers more kicks on Moxley and follows it up with a standing Shooting Star Press.
Moxley then sets up to lock in the Bulldog Choke on Speedball, but Speedball escapes and climbs to the top rope. He then hits a moonsault on Moxley and transitions into an Armbar, but Moxley counters into a pinfall. Speedball then reverses into a fall of his own and both men take turns pinning one another as Shafir and Knight stare each other down on the outside. Yuta then distracts Speedball, opening the door for Moxley to hit a kick on Speedball and send him crashing into the mat.
Darby Allin then sneaks up behind Wheeler Yuta with a rag and drags him away from ringside, allowing Speedball to hit a spinning back heel kick on Moxley and cinch in another Armbar on him. Moxley then counters into a Bulldog Choke on Speedball, then hits the Death Rider on Speedball for the win.

After the match, Moxley leaves the ring and jumps the barricade with Marina Shafir as they go after Darby Allin.
We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette is with Alex Windsor and Toni Storm. Storm drops some sexual innuendo, while challenging Athena to sign her contract and cash it in tonight. Alex Windsor then says Queen Aminata and Skye Blue better get ready because she doesn’t get licked without giving a lick back. Storm then says it is time to tape up their tits and tango
We then head to the outside of the arena as Moxley and Shafir see a body in a while body bag. Darby Allin then drives next to them in a truck and honks, then drives off. They then open up the body bag and there is a paper with the words “Forbidden Door” written on it.
Excalibur then mentions Skye Blue vs. Queen Aminata vs. Billie Starkz vs. Alex Windsor for a TBS Title shot later in the show.
We then see “8 Belts” Mercedes Moné arrive to the arena and she is interviewed by Renee Paquette. Paquette compliments Moné on her match at All In: Texas. Moné then tells Paquette to stop being such a mark and she walks away.
AEW TBS Championship 4-Way Forbidden Door Qualifying Match: Queen Aminata vs. Triangle of Madness’ Skye Blue vs. Alex Windsor vs. Billie Starkz
The match starts off with Starkz being sent to the outside as Windsor and Aminata hit Blue with some right hands. Aminata then hits a snapmare and follows it up with a kick on Windsor. Blue then drags Aminata to the outside and she sends her into the ring steps. Blue then gets back in the ring and Starkz hits some right hands on Windsor. Blue and Starkz then double team Windsor. Blue then hits a knee to the face and Aminata hits a big boot on Blue and Blue falls to the outside of the ring. Aminata then gets on the ring apron and Blue trips her up, then follows it up with a neck breaker. Windsor then hits a senton on Blue and Starkz hits a splash on Windsor.
Windsor then hits a Blue Thunder Bomb onBlue. Starkz then comes in and she hits a kick to the face of Windsor. Starkz then goes to the ropes, but Windsor hits a powerbomb. She then goes for the cover, but Starkz kicks out. Windsor then cinches in a sharpshooter on Starkz, but Aminata delivers some kicks on Windsor. Aminata then hits some forearms to the face. Starkz and Blue then get in the ring, but Windsor and Aminata hit German suplexes on them both. Aminata and Windsor then hit double headbutts to the face and all four women are down. Blue then gets on the second rope, but Windsor hits a headbutt. Windsor then climbs the second rope, but Blue hits a sunset flip powerbomb cover and Aminata breaks it up. Aminata then slams Blue and Starkz hits a senton on Blue. Aminata then rolls Starkz up, but Starkz kicks out. Blue then rolls to the outside and she grabs a chair, hitting Aminata in the face. She then places the chair and Aminata slams her back first onto the chair.
Windsor then hits a clothesline on Starkz. Athena is about to get in the ring, but Storm drags her to the outside and hits her with a right hand. Starkz then grabs Windsor, but Windsor rolls her up for the win.

After the match, Mercedes Moné makes her way out and she gets in the ring. Moné and Windsor are face to face. Athena then hits the O-Face off the top rope on Storm and Moné hits a backstabber on Windsor. Moné and Athena then stare one another down in something of a show of respect to one another.
We then see Renee Paquette interviewing The Young Bucks in the backstage area. Renee gets really excited about Brodido. The Bucks then notices a production guy nearby and gives him crap about their entrance and ring announcements lately. They then demand their pyro back and a proper ring announcement from Justin Roberts. The production guy then chuckles and tells them he will take care of it.
Renee Paquette is in the ring and she introduces AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher with Don Callis and the rest of the family and they make their way down to the ring. Callis then grabs the microphone from Renee and he tells her she should be asking why Callis is building the largest numerical faction in the history of pro wrestling. Callis then says the answer is power and when you have the gold, you control destiny and since Okada aligned himself with the Callis family, he has three belts. Callis then says his favorite moment of the year was when Fletcher became the TNT Champion. Callis then says Kyle may have retired a legend. Fletcher then says Dustin Rhodes got what he deserved for stealing his moment at All In. Fletcher then says Dustin may have had a storied career, but a 60 year old man does not deserve to be in the ring with him. Fletcher then says we don’t know if we will see Adam Cole again and that is thanks to him.
Fletcher then says this is only the beginning of his legacy and every man that tries to take the title from him will suffer the same fate because he will be the greatest TNT Champion of all time on his way to becoming the greatest of all time.
Callis then tells Kyle that he knows he will be the greatest TNT Champion of all time and when you are great, they memorialize you with art. Callis then says he spent the last two days slaving away and he can still feel the oil paint under his fingers. Callis then unveils a painting of Fletcher with himself and they both hug. Fletcher then says he owes all of his success to Callis and he will defend the title on Saturday on Collision. Fletcher then says it doesn’t matter who he defends against because the result will be the same and his hand will be raised. Fletcher then raises the title in the air as his music hits.
We then head to the back, where Cope says he has his hands full with FTR and he knows he can’t get within 200 feet of them. Cope then says he spoke to Tony Khan and next time it will be himself against Big Stoke and if FTR interfere, their restraining order is void.
Bandido and Brody King then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and The Young Bucks follow. As The Young Bucks are making their way down to the ring, the timing of the pyro is off. Justin Roberts is reading off a cue card, which was given to him by The Young Bucks to read. He reads it verbatim, pronouncing the word comma and not introducing them properly. The fans then chant “Jobbers” as they get in the ring.
AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Semifinal Round Match:Brodido (Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)
The match starts off with Bandido taking down both Matt and Nick. Bandido then tags Brody King into the match. He then clotheslines both men down. Bandido is then tagged back in as The Young Bucks fall to the outside. Bandido then hits a moonsault off the top rope onto both men. King then delivers some chops onto The Young Bucks.
The Young Bucks then double team King. Nick then hits a rake to the eyes and Matt is tagged in. Matt then hits a double axe. King then hits some chops, but they double team him. Matt then goes for the cover, but King kicks out. Matt then tries to lift King up, but King falls on top of him. Nick then jumps off the top rope, but King hits a right hand. Bandido is then tagged in, but they double team him. Nick then hits a face buster on Bandido and he hits a moonsault on King. Matt then goes for the cover, but Brody breaks it up. Brody then gets in the ring, but he is sent to the outside. Nick then hits a super kick on Bandido. Matt then hits a stunner onto the outside. Bandido then goes to the outside and Nick hits a corkscrew on him.
The Young Bucks then goes for the EVP trigger, but Bandido moves out of the way. King is then tagged in and he hits a splash on The Young Bucks in the corner. The Young Bucks then fall to the outside of the ring and Bandido jumps off the second rope, over the top rope and hits a senton. He then sends Matt back into the ring and hits a frog splash. Bandido then goes for the cover, but Matt kicks out. King then lifts Bandido up and throws him towards Matt, but Matt gets his knees up. Nick then hits King with a super kick and Nick is tagged in. Nick then climbs the top rope, but King hits a right hand. King then climbs the top rope and hits a superplex.
Bandido then goes for a splash on Nick, but he moves out of the way. Nick then hits a Canadian destroyer on Bandido and hit double super kicks on King. They then hit the TK Driver on Bandido and Nick goes for the cover, but King breaks it up. Matt then hits a DDT on Bandido off the ring apron. King then grabs Matt and hits a death valley driver on the ring apron. Nick then hits a DDT on King on the outside of the ring. Bandido then sends Nick over the barricade. Both men are on the barricade and Bandido gorilla presses Nick and sends him onto Matt. Bandido then sends Matt back into the ring and he hits the 21 plex. He then goes for the cover, but Nick breaks it up. King then hits a senton on Matt. Bandido then runs towards King, who kick flips him and he hits a splash on Matt. Bandido then goes for the cover and gets the win.

We then get a video package looking at the main event of tonight’s show between MJF and Mark Briscoe.
We then head to the back, where The Hurt Syndicate are being interviewed and they are asked about Brodido. MVP then congratulates them and says whoever wins the tournament, they will be more than happy to hurt them at Forbidden Door. MJF then shows up to interrupt him and makes a pitch for MVP to leave Bobby and Shelton behind and go after the world championship. MVP then tells him his ego is too big for anybody to stand and that in the Hurt Syndicate they hurt people and all he could ever talk about was himself. MVP then says as his last act of kindness because he loves MJF like a little brother, they will leave him in one piece to pursue his triple B, but he hopes he fails in his mission. MVP then says if he succeeds Bobby Lashley will come after him and it will not be business, it will be very personal.
Renee Paquette then introduces Swerve Strickland and Strickland makes his way out with Prince Nana. Strickland tells Paquette that last year at Forbidden Door, he had to put Will Ospreay down and if he did that to his friend and family, what does Okada think he will do to him. Strickland then says Okada is a current Unified Champion, but when they say that Okada is a generation wrestler, he is someone that no one has ever seen before. Strickland then says Okada has come after him three times and he has put the fear of God into Okada. Strickland then says this is a big match for Okada because he is facing off against the most dangerous man in AEW and that is him. Strickland then says this is also about his redemption because he lost two of the biggest matches in his career, back to back times, in London. Strickland then says he wants to continue his legacy by defeating Okada and he will stand in the middle of Okada’s body and while Don Callis cries, everyone will scream and chant his house.
Mark Briscoe then says the time for words is over and tonight, he will do his talking with his fists. Briscoe then tells MJF that tonight he will pay for his sins. Hangman Page then shows up and tells Briscoe he has known him for 14 years and he always looked up to him. Page then tells Briscoe that if he wins tonight and he can, he hopes he is the next one to challenge for the World Championship. Both men then shake hands and Page walks away.
Grudge Match: MJF vs. The Conglomeration’s Mark Briscoe
The match starts off with Briscoe hitting some right hands on MJF. He then climbs the top rope, but MJF rolls to the outside of the ring. Briscoe then goes to the ropes, but MJF jumps the barricade. Briscoe then delivers some right hands as both men begin to fight up the stairs and through the fans. MJF then begins to walk away and Briscoe sends him through the barricade and back towards the ring. Briscoe then goes under the ring and grabs a table. MJF then gets back up and grabs Briscoe, but Briscoe sends him into the ring post and into the ring. Briscoe then climbs the top rope, but MJF once more rolls out of the way. MJF then grabs the referee and Briscoe grabs the referee, but MJF hits a rake to the eyes. He then sends Briscoe into the turnbuckle. MJF then cinches in a head lock, but Briscoe gets to his feet. MJF then hits a modified stunner. He then goes for the cover, but Briscoe kicks out.
Mark with a splash in the corner followed by a modified suplex. Mark with a running kick to the face. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF rolls to the outside of the ring. Mark gets on the ring apron and lands a running elbow. He throws MJF back into the ring. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF rolls out of the way. Mark to the ropes and he lands a cannonball through the ropes and onto MJF. Mark with right hands followed by a chop to the chest. He places MJF on the table on the outside of the ring. Mark climbs the top rope but MJF rolls back into the ring.
Mark runs towards MJF but MJF kicks him in the face and lands an Alabama Slam. He gets Mark in the Boston crab but Mark gets out of it and gets MJF in a cover but MJF kicks out. MJF throws Mark onto the ring apron but Mark slams MJF down.
Mark climbs the top rope but MJF gets up and moves the ropes, tripping Mark up. MJF gets on the second rope and he gets Mark in a pile driver but Mark kicks MJF in the head. Mark gets out of it and he hits MJF with a right hand and MJF falls onto the mat. Mark lands the froggy elbow. He goes for the cover but MJF kicks out. MJF rolls to the outside of the ring and Mark places him on the table.
Mark climbs the top rope and he goes for the elbow but MJF moves out of the way and Mark goes through the table. MJF would get in ther ing and Mark would get on the ring apron at the nine count. MJF would land a pile driver on the ring apron. He would go for the cover and on two, Mark would get his foot on the bottom rope but the referee would not see it and he would count to three.
The winner of the Grudge Match, MJF!
After the match, Mark would try to explain to the referee after the match but MJF hits him with right hands. He takes out the diamond ring and he hits Mark in the face with it. MJF would kiss the ring but Adam Page’s music hits and out he comes. MJF runs towards Page and they begin to fight. Security comes down and breaks it up as MJF jumps the barricade and walks through the crowd.
Hangman Page then gets in the ring and he checks up on Briscoe, who is down bleeding in the corner. Page then jumps the barricade and begins hitting MJF with right hands but security tries to break it up. Both men then fight back into the ring and as Page is about to go for the Buckshot Lariat, MJF rolls to the outside of the ring and AEW Dynamite comes to a close.
