Here are the results for August 12th, episode of WWE NXT.
The show opens up with a recap of last week’s NXT with Chelsea Green taking Ethan Page’s side against Tavion Heights, Hank & Tank being attacked by DarkState and the group attacking the four men they are facing tonight. We also see Lash Legend battling Nia Jax all through last week.
We then see what happened earlier today, when NXT General Manager Ava walks up to Hank & Tank who are angry at DarkState and demand that they don’t interfere in DarkState’s match later in the night due to them having a match against DarkState at Heatwave. Hank and Tank then agrees, but Ava isn’t convinced because Hank and Tank seems sarcastic.
Singles Match: “The Irresistible Force” Nia Jax vs. “The Boujee Bully” Lash Legend
The match starts off with both women locking up and they go around the ring. Jax then pushes Legend away. Both women then lock up again and Jax sends Legend into the turnbuckles and follows it up with some shoulders. Jax then hits an Irish whip and she misses a splash. Legend then hits some shoulders in the corner. Legend then picks up Jax and sends her into the turnbuckles. Jax then hits a boot. Jax then sends Legend to the floor.
Legend then hits a bicycle kick to send Jax to the floor. Legend then goes to the floor and she hits a forearm, but Jax hits a forearm of her own and she sends Legend into the apron. Legend then sends Jax into the ring steps. Legend then returns to the ring and she returns to the floor. Legend then hits some forearms and she sends Jax into the ringside barrier. Legend then pushes over the ring steps and she pulls the bottom step against the announce desk. Jax then hits a clothesline. Jax then sends Legend into the ring steps. Jax then breaks the count and returns to the floor. Jax then adjusts the announce desk and she takes a drink and pours it on the table. Legend then returns to the ring and the referee tells her to get back in the ring.
Jax then hits a back elbow on Legend’s spine, then wears her down with a submission. Legend then hits a chop on Jax, but Jax responds with a Samoan Drop on Legend. Legend then sends Jax crashing into the mat, but Jax pulls on the ring skirt. As the referee fixes it, Jax rakes Legend’s eye and follows it up with a senton. Jax then sends Legend crashing into the barricade on the outside, but Legend drags Jax up the ring steps next to the announce desk and looks to suplex Jax through the announce desk. Jax then blocks Legend, but Legend gets Jax up and sends both herself and Jax crashing through the announce desk.
The referee then starts a ten count, but both women beat it. Jax and Legend then exchange forearms with one another, but Legend hits a bodyslam on Jax and goes for a pin. Jax then kicks out, but Legend climbs to the top rope. Jax then joins her up there, but Legend looks to pull Jax off. Jax then counters into an An-Nia-Lator, then hits a second one on Legend for the win.

We then see Kelly Kincaid interview all the DarkState members about their upcoming match. Dion says they are here to take opportunity and they are going to step up to four of the best from NXT and TNA. Cutler then says DarkState will take turns on their ass. The other guys then looked confused at Cutler’s ass talk, but then went back into tough mode to hype their upcoming segments. They then say when DarkState strikes, nobody is safe.
We then see Chelsea Green and her secret Hervice walking around the locker room scouting the women in the locker room about who Tavion Heights might send after Chelsea. Chelsea then dismisses some girls. She then feels safe at Karmen Petrovic due to her being Canadian. Green then runs into Kendall Grey and notes that while Grey has an impressive college resume, she can’t beat Alba Fyre later. Green then says she has to leave to get ready for her upcoming match.
Singles Match: Joe Hendry vs. No Quarter Catch Crew’s Charlie Dempsey
The match starts off with both men locking up. Hendry then cinches in a side head lock and hits a shoulder tackle. Dempsey then hits a drop toe hold, but Hendry gets a rollup for a near fall. Hendry then hits a hip toss. Dempsey then hits a back drop into a wrist lock. Hendry then hits a reversal and a take down. Dempsey then hits a take down, but Hendry holds on to the wrist lock. Hendry then avoids a snap mare. Dempsey then hits a snap mare and Hendry holds on to the wrist lock. Hendry then hits an arm wringer.
Dempsey then hits some forearms and a European uppercut. Dempsey then hits a gut-wrench suplex for a near fall. Hendry then hits a back elbow, but Dempsey hits a kick and a Northern Lights suplex, then follows it up with a butterfly Northern Lights suplex into a guillotine. Dempsey then hits a body scissors and Hendry hits a suplex. Hendry then hits some punches and a clothesline. Hendry then hits a fallaway slam and turns to the camera. Hendry then hits the stomp and sets up for the Standing Ovation, but Dempsey blocks it and he gets a near fall with a back slide. Hendry then hits the Standing Ovation for the win.

We then see Josh Briggs walking in the backstage area.
We then head to the back, where we see Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan getting ready for their match. Vice says she needs to win and she has been on a roll. Vice then says she has a huge opportunity tonight especially with TripleMania this weekend. Jordan then says she is also going for the women’s title. Jaida Park then shows up and says she has money on both of them, but she’s the one who will be next NXT Women’s Champion.
Josh Briggs then makes his way down to the ring. Briggs starts off by saying you should believe someone when they show you who they really are. Briggs then says Yoshiki Inamura showed him who he really was and Inamura was more concerned with becoming NXT Champion rather than their friendship. Briggs then says there is no honor in NXT, then asks how many times he has to say that he is not a man of honor. Briggs then challenges Inamura to face him in a Street Fight.
Inamura’s music then hits and he makes his way out. Inamura tells Briggs that he is a jackass, then accepts Briggs’ challenge to a Street Fight and goes after him. Inamura then shoves Briggs into the mat, then sends him crashing onto the floor with a shoulder tackle. Briggs and Inamura then continue brawling as a few security guards run out to the ring. Inamura then sends Briggs crashing on top of them off the ropes and into several of the security guards. Inamura then stands tall in the ring to end the segment.
The camera then shows Jordynne Grace in the back getting ready for a sit-down interview with Kelly Kincaid.
We then see a sit-down interview from earlier today, where Kelly Kincaid is speaking with Jordynne Grace. Kincaid asks Grace how she is doing and Grace says it will surprise people, but Blake Monroe is right. Grace then says she has spent her life avoiding mirrors because she didn’t like what she saw. Grace then says not that she wasn’t strong or beautiful, but she didn’t see it that way. Grace then says her battle has been with self-worth and hearing she would never be good enough no matter what. Kincaid then points out that Grace let her softer side out with Blake and Grace says she let her guard down and that’s on her. Grace then says she wanted to connect with Blake, an outsider in her own right, but she gets it now. Grace then says Blake doesn’t see that she is good enough so she tears down others so she can feel good. Grace then says she tells all the little Jordynnes out there that real strength doesn’t feed on weakness. Grace then says she won’t be stepping into the ring with Blake for revenge as se is hoping to prove that champions can come in all sizes and can silence her doubters. We then see that Blake is surprised that Grace thinks she is insecure. Ava then says they’re going to be in the ring together next week. Blake then says, “Biased much?” and walks off.
We then get a recap of Jacy Jayne’s work on TNA iMPACT in the last couple of weeks. Blake Howard asks Jacy and Fallon about the match and Fallon cuts off Jacy saying they have dealt with Lola and beat Kelani so it’s done. Jacy then takes shots at her stablemates as Ash and Masha are shown in the building on the big screen. Blake then asks about them and Jacy asks what they are doing there. They then walk off and Lainey walks up, wishing Jacy luck.
We then head to the back, where Oba, Moose, Trick and Je’Von are having a conversation and Femi says they are not friends, but they have to co-exist to beat Dark State. Femi then says they are the alpha males of the species. Moose then says he isn’t friends with any of them. Evans then says he is on board. Williams then says it is what it is and on Friday, Moose is taking the loss and Evans is taking the loss on Tuesday. Hank and Tank then come in pretending to be pesticide sprayers and get ushered out by Mr. Stone.
Tag Team Match: Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan vs. Fatal Influence (WWE NXT Women’s Champion and TNA Knockouts World Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley)
The match starts off with Kelani Jordan and Fallon Henley and both women go back and forth. Jordan then hits a crossbody on Henley, then tags in Vice. Vice and Jayne then tag in, but Henley catches Vice with a knee on her spine from the apron as Vice runs the ropes. Henley then tags in and sends Vice crashing into the corner spine first before Jayne tags back in and rolls up Vice. Vice then kicks out and cinches in a Sleeper on Jayne. Jayne then counters into a pinfall, but Vice kicks out and delivers a kick on Jayne’s thigh.
Jordan then tags in and looks to hit a double suplex on Jayne with Vice, but Henley comes to Jayne’s aid. Jordan and Vice then hit arm drags on Henley and Jayne and Jordan hits a double dropkick on both women. Jordan then chases Henley and Nyx around the ring, but Jayne intercepts her with a knee strike on the outside. Jordan then rolls up Henley, but Henley kicks out. Henley then hits a Bulldog on Jordan, then sends her crashing into the turnbuckles and tags in Jayne. Jayne and Henley then jam their boots into Jordan in the corner and Jayne wears down Jordan with a submission hold. Jordan then delivers some right hands on Jayne’s midsection, but Jayne responds with a knee strike on Jordan.
Vice and Henley then tag in and nails Henley and Jayne. She then delivers rapid fire kicks on Jayne, then hits Hip Attacks on Jayne and Henley in opposite corners. Jordan then tags in and hits a leg drop on Henley off the ropes. She then sends her into the corner. Jayne then tags in and looks to hit a pump kick on Jordan, but Jordan counters into a roll up. Jayne then kicks out, but Nyx hops up on the apron. Jordan then nails her and the referee checks on her. As the referee has his back turned, Vice hits Jayne with the 305. Jordan then follows it up with the split legged moonsault and pins Jayne for the win.

After the match, Nyx and Henley helps Jayne to her feet. Ash by Elegance and Masha Slamovich are then shown in the crowd cheering.
Jasper Troy then cuts a promo. Troy says he is tired of small guys like Ricky Saints. Troy then says Saints is like those star QBs he used to protect when he was an O-lineman. Troy then says they all acted so cool, with perfect hair, perfect teeth, getting all the girls and getting all the glory. Troy then says they are nothing without a monster like him protecting them. Troy then says nothing is protecting Ricky. Troy then says Ricky has been handed everything and can’t relate to him. Troy then says he’ll take care of Saints and the spotlight will be on the person it’s supposed to be, which is him.
Singles Match: Kendal Grey vs. The Secret Hervice’s Alba Fyre
The match starts off with both women locking up. Grey then hits a dropkick on Green, then hits an uppercut on her and gets Fyre up on her shoulders. Niven then slaps Grey from the outside, but Grey cinches in an Arm Bar on Fyre. Ethan Page then makes his way to the ring as Grey hits a back elbow on Fyre and follows it up with a crossbody off the middle rope. She then follows it up with a powerslam, but Fyre sends Grey crashing into the mat and hits a knee strike on her. Fyre then hits the Gory Bomb for the win.

After the match, Page mocks Grey by asking if this is the best that the USA has to offer. Tavion Heights’ music then hits and reveals that the woman he’s asked to help him deal with Page and Green is Tyra Mae Steele. Steele then sneaks up behind Page and hits German suplexes on Page, Fyre and Niven.
We then head to the back, where Jacy Jayne is yelling at Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. Ava then says since Jayne is a double champ, she talked to Santino and she will defend the TNA Knockouts World Title at Heatwave. Jayne then asks who her opponent is and Ava says it will be Ash by Elegance and Masha Slamovich. Ava then says there will be a 6-Woman Tag Team Match next week with Fatal Influence against The Elegance Brand.
We then head to the back, where Chelsea asks Ethan Page what happened. Page says he wants to know how they missed the first female Olympic gold medalist in WWE. Green then says she has a migraine coming and they have a big problem. Page then says their problem is Mr. and Ms. Olympics. Green then suggests a peace treaty and Page says it’s genius and that they can do it next week.
It is then announced that next week there will be a WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match between Trick Williams vs. Je’Von Evans, Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe will have face-to-face, Jasper Troy will take on Ricky Saints, there will be a Street Fight between Josh Briggs vs. Yoshiki Inamura, Fatal Instinct will battle The Elegance Brand and Ethan Page and Chelsea Green will seek a peace treaty with Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele.
8-Man Tag Team Match:DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars and Cutler James) vs. WWE NXT Champion “The Ruler of NXT” Oba Femi, TNA World Champion Trick Williams, “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans and TNA’s Moose
The match starts off with all eight men wasting no time in going after each other and brawling. Evans and Shugars are the last two in the ring and both men trade some strikes. Evans then nails Shugars into the corner. Evans then hit Shugars with a corkscrew sweep and a flip for a near fall. Evans then hit Shugars with his seated springboard hurricanrana. Femi then sends Cutler to ringside. Moose then sends Griffin to ringside. Femi then sends Lennox onto the rest of DarkState at ringside. Williams then glares at the rest of his teammates. Femi and Moose then sends Williams onto DarkState. Williams then gives his team condescending hugs.
Williams then looks to hit a drop toe hold on James, but James stays standing. Williams then hits a dropkick on James, but both men nail one another. Moose then tags in and looks to hit an uppercut on James, but James ducks out of the way. Moose then delivers some chops on James in the corner and delivers some right hands on him, but Evans tags in and exchanges right hands with James. Femi then tags in and hits a suplex on James, but Griffin tags in and exchanges right hands with Femi. Femi then looks to hit Griffin with a shoulder tackle, but Griffin stays standing on his feet and hits a slam on Femi.
Lennox then tags in and continues wearing down Femi, but Griffin tags in and wears down Femi with a submission hold. Femi then sends Griffin crashing into the mat, then tags in Evans. Lennox then tags in on his side, then flies out of the ring to take out Griffin before he begins taking out every member of DarkState. James then tags in and prevents Evans from tagging out, but Evans escapes and tags in Moose as Shugars tags in on his side. Moose then sends Evans crashing into the mat with a sit-out powerbomb on Shugars off the middle rope. Williams then hits a right hand on Lennox and Femi follows it up with a knee on Lennox’s shoulder. Evans then tags in and hits a splash on Lennox before he pins him. DarkState then send Williams, Femi and Moose on top of Evans and Lennox to break the fall.
Griffin then hits a back body drop on Evans and Shugars hits a leg drop on Evans off the top rope. James then tags in and DarkState sets up for the quadruple powerbomb, but Moose and Femi catch Evans to come to his aid. Moose then looks to spear Shugars, but Shugars ducks out of the way and Moose accidentally hits Evans. DarkState then surrounds Evans in the ring, but Williams watches on as DarkState hits a quadruple powerbomb on Evans for the win.

After the match, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger make their way down to the ring and begin brawling with DarkState as the show comes to a close.
