WWE Reportedly Discussing How To Boost WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales

Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that WWE held an internal multi-department meeting this past week to address the issue with ticket sales for this April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada have fallen below current expectations.

The report states that the meeting took place on Wednesday, February 11th and the purpose of the meeting was to create new strategies and promotional work in an effort to increase ticket sales and momentum for the event.

The report also noted that WWE plans to keep ticket pricing “as is for the time being.”

Last week, WrestleTix reported that WWE had moved 36,000 tickets for each night. In comparison, WrestleMania 41 had roughly 56,000 to 60,000 tickets distributed per night. WrestleTix noted that at this same point last year, the company had already moved approximately 10,000 more tickets per night than it has for WrestleMania 42.

Fightful Select reported last week, the distributor of the WrestleMania 42 broadcasts informed a number of venues in Las Vegas they will not be able to air the huge two-day event, even if they pay the licensing fee. Fightful added this was further explained as a possible way to increase ticket sales.
