The go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown in Perth, Australia, featured the return of Shinsuke Nakamura and Tama Tonga. Shinsuke had not been seen since March 2025, when he lost the title to LA Knight. As for Tama Tonga he was last seen ahead of WWE WrestleMania 41.
On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Nakamura answered Sami Zayn’s open challenge for the US Title. Nakamura came out to his original theme. It was a back and forth match, but then a masked man jumped Shinsuke Nakamura.
It was then revealed that Tama Tonga was under that mask. This led to the entire MFT faction taking the ring to attack Shinsuke and Sami Zayn.
