Adam Copeland is set to join the cast of “The Beekeeper 2,” the much-awaited sequel to the 2024 action hit “The Beekeeper.” The news was first reported by Variety. Copeland will star alongside Jason Statham and Pom Klementieff, who is known for her roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the “Mission: Impossible” franchise.
The Beekeeper” follows former elite agent Adam Clay (Statham) as he returns from retirement to avenge the death of a friend. The sequel features returning stars like Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave, with Yara Shahidi also joining the ensemble.
Production is underway with Timo Tjahjanto directing the movie and Kurt Wimmer providing the script. Wimmer also penned the original film.
The film is produced by Statham’s Punch Palace, Miramax, and other partners, with distribution by Amazon MGM Studios.
Adam Copeland was recently written off AEW TV, he stated that he was unsure if he would return. It was later reported that Copeland was off TV for filming commitments for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3, where he will reprise his role as Ares, God of War.
