Here are the results for August 27th episode of AEW Dynamite.
FTR’s music hits and they make their way down to the ring with Stokely. As they are making their way down to the ring, Cash Wheeler has some words with a fan that gets bleeped out. FTR then tries to address what happened on Sunday during their match, but a loud chorus of boos from the crowd is making it difficult. Harwood then talks about a miscarriage of justice taking place at Forbidden Door, addressing the fact they couldn’t win the tag titles. The crowd then tells him to “shut the f**k up” as Harwood presses on, claiming the illegal man pinned him.
Harwood then asks referee Paul Turner how long he has been in the business and we find out he has been a referee for 27 years. Harwood then says Turner has a wife and a family and that his wife is here, and if he could imagine having to tell his family that he failed because of an incompetent moron. Paul then says he cannot and Harwood uses this to say that Turner can right this wrong by reversing his decision and naming FTR the tag team champions. Turner then says that unfortunately his decision stands. This then riles up Stokely, who calls Turner a moron and he says he wants to appease these idiots, but if he wants to do the right thing he can’t reverse this decision. This then leads to a standoff with the referee before Copeland’s music hits. Copeland then makes his way down to the ring, but he looks over his shoulder as if he is waiting for Christian Cage, only for Cage to slide into the ring and he takes Harwood down with a Killswitch. This then leads to Cage and Copeland going at it with FTR while officials and security rush to break things up.
As FTR and Stokely start to step away from the ring, Cage grabs a microphone and says Copeland helped him deal with his problem at Forbidden Door, so now he is here to help with Copeland’s problem. He then starts to go into it about Harwood and Wheeler having fathers before Copeland interrupts and lays out the challenge for All Out in Toronto, with Cage and Copeland vs. FTR.
We then get a video package, where we hear from Darby Allin about his trek up Mount Everest and how it got him to thinking about his revenge against the Death Riders.
Singles Match: The Death Riders’ Jon Moxley vs. Daniel Garcia
The match starts off with both men locking up and Garcia gets an upper hand on Moxley. Garcia then gets to his feet and hits the ropes, but is taken down by Moxley with a shoulder tackle. Moxley then brings Garcia to the corner for some mounted punches, only for Garcia to respond with a dragon screw catching Moxley on the ropes. Moxley then drops to the outside as Garcia follows, setting him up against the barricade before Moxley fights back. Moxley then drops Garcia to the floor before sliding into the ring.
The referee then begins the count as Yuta and Shafir are stalking Garcia on the outside before Daddy Magic makes his way out to help even the numbers. They then back off as Garcia gets back into the ring, eventually turning things around on Moxley and forcing him to take a breather on the outside. Moxley then regains control and he sends Garcia to the corner before clawing at his back. Moxley then keeps on the attack until Garcia strikes back with a flurry of punches before biting the leg of Moxley and taking him down hard with a superplex. Both men then get to their feet before Moxley hits Garcia with a boot and sends him to the ropes. Garcia then hits a lariat on Moxley for a two count.
Moxley then hits Garcia with a cutter, but struggles to capitalize and this allows Garcia to cinch a single leg crab. Moxley then crawls toward the ropes, grabbing the bottom one to force a break. Moxley then lures Garcia to the outside before hitting him with a DDT onto the ring steps and Garcia drops to the floor as Moxley gets back in the ring. Daddy Magic then checks on Garcia, trying to urge him back into the match as Garcia slowly stirs while the count goes on. We then reach the count of nine as Garcia manages to leap into the ring. Moxley then goes for a stomp, but Garcia dodges it and Moxley cinches in a cross arm breaker on him before Garcia counters it into a Dragon Tamer. Moxley then struggles to break free as Garcia leans back and this gives Moxley an opening as he goes for a chokehold on Garcia. Garcia then breaks free for a clutch to get a near fall. We then get an exchange of pinfall attempts and Moxley cradles Garcia for the win.
The winner of the Singles Match, The Death Riders’ Jon Moxley!
After the match, Wheeler Yuta grabs a microphone and he tells Darby Allin that Moxley doesn’t want to waste his breath answering him so Yuta delivers the message that the answer is no. He then leaves the ring as we see Moxley and Garcia having a verbal spat on the outside before the Death Riders leave through the crowd. Garcia then throws a chair and makes his way up the ramp, telling the camera to get out of his way.
Wheeler Yuta then stays in the ring and says he used to do the ring crew in Philadelphia. Yuta then says Will Ospreay left Forbidden Door on a stretcher and Chuck Taylor has a broken neck. Yuta then says he slayed the “American Dragon” in Bryan Danielson and replaced him. HOOK’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Yuta then charges at HOOK, but HOOK sends him crashing into the corner and locks in the Redrum on him. HOOK then sends him crashing into the mat with a right hook and heads to the back as the crowd chant his name.
We then get a post-Forbidden Door interview by MJF, who addresses losing to “Hangman” Adam Page and dealing with Mark Briscoe. MJF also talks about Tony Khan telling him he can no longer cash in his rightful title shot whenever he so chooses, promising that when he signs that dotted line it won’t be for the AEW World Championship as it will be for Page’s soul.
Tag Team Match: “The Megasus” Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford vs. Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron
The match starts off with Statlander and Ford going at it and Statlander manages to get the upper hand before tagging in Cameron. We then get a bit of a double team followed by a tag and Statlander gets a two count. Statlander then hits a delayed vertical suplex on Ford, who crawls over for a tag to Bayne. We then get a brief stare-down between Bayne and Statlander, but Cameron tags in as she wants to make Bayne feel the wrath. Bayne then shoves Cameron away, but gets sent to the corner as Cameron manages to get a few stomps in on Bayne. Cameron then sends Bayne to the opposite side, but gets caught in a waist-lock by Bayne, who drags Cameron to the corner before tagging in Ford.
Cameron then stays on the attack until Bayne manages to sneak in a shot, keeping Cameron down long enough for Ford to fight back. Cameron is then kept from a tag by Ford before Cameron manages to break away. A tag is then made to Statlander, who runs down Ford and Bayne before hitting a fisherman driver for a near fall. Ford then gets an assist from Bayne off a tag, hitting a cutter before Bayne hits a big lariat for a two count. Megan and Ford then set up Cameron and Statlander for a double moonsault, but to no avail. Statlander then hoists Bayne up and Cameron gives the assist for Statlander sending Bayne down hard for a cover, but Ford breaks it up. Things then break down and all four women are down. Ford and Cameron then leave the ring as Statlander and Bayne exchange some strikes. Ford then gets the tag, but is worn down by Statlander who sets up a crucifix armbar and Ford has no choice but to tap out.
The winners of the Tag Team Match, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron!
After the match, Bayne looks to go after Statlander, but Willow Nightingale makes her way down to the ring to put a stop to this as she ends up staring down her former friend in Statlander.
Renee Paquette then introduces Mercedes Moné and Moné makes her way down to the ring. Moné tells Philadelphia to say hello to “Nine Belts Mone” as she counts out all of her title belts on a table before Paquette asks Moné about her time in the United Kingdom. She then asks Moné what’s next for her and Moné says she’s going to smash Ultimo Dragon’s ten belts. Paquette then says Alex Windsor tapped her out, but Moné insists she never tapped out as she was on a time out and was swatting a bug away from the ring. Moné then says Windsor is jealous that she was a better RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion and she doesn’t care about Windsor and will put her in a hospital bed right next to her husband Will Ospreay. Moné then says she wants to dance in celebration and does so.
All Star 8-Man Tag Team Match: AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Hounds of Hell’s Brody King and ROH World Champion Bandido) and JetSpeed “The Jet” Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey) vs. Don Callis Family (Hechicero, AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita and “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander)
The match starts off with Bandido and Takeshita before Hechicero tags in to catch Bandido by surprise. Hechicero then sends Bandido to the corner for a flurry of punches before dragging him to their corner for a tag to Takeshita. After a few shots, we see Alexander tag in before King gets a tag of his own to take down Alexander and Takeshita. A tag is then made to Knight and he and Speedball goes after Alexander after a tag is made to Speedball. Alexander then reaches out for a tag with both Okada and Takeshita making the tag at the same time. They then stare each other down for a moment, but that turns out to be a ruse as they look to clear the ring before King sends them to the outside. King then launches Bandido up and over the rope at the same time as JetSpeed and all three men land on top of the Don Callis Family on the outside.
The Don Callis Family has Knight in the corner before he manages to get the upper hand on Hechicero and Alexander. King then comes in for some offense followed by Bailey, who takes a powerbomb by Takeshita before Knight comes in only to be taken out. Bandido then slides in and goes for a vertical suplex on Takeshita before Hechicero makes the save. Tags are then made to Bailey and Takeshita and both men go at it before Bailey blocks a sunset flip for a backflip knee drop on Takeshita. Bailey then goes for a cover, but it is broken up.
Okada then offers an assist before Takeshita gets a cover for a near fall and it seems there is some animosity between Okada and Takeshita as it comes to a shoving contest from Okada before King pulls Takeshita out of the ring. Chaos then ensues and it leads to Bailey dodging a Rainmaker to send Okada out of the ring. He then goes up top, but Alexander dodges the shooting star knee drop and rolls him up for the win.

Page then says he tries not to make a habit of speaking for others, but he will make an exception to say we all hope Ospreay comes back soon and when he does, he hopes Ospreay will challenge him for the world title.
Page then turns his attention to MJF, who has tried everything he could to take the title away from him at Forbidden Door and he failed. Page then addresses the fact MJF has to give seven days notice, promising that he will beat MJF down before the ink dries on the contract.
Page is then interrupted by Don Callis, who says the only reason Page ever got the title the first time was because a weakling in his family was the one defending it against him. Callis then says he wants the title back in the Don Callis Family and there is a whole locker room ready to challenge and he knows because he has signed half of them. Callis then calls out for his Family to come to ringside, surrounding Page on the outside but Page gets the drop on one of them to fight back. They then bring Page into the ring, but out comes JetSpeed for an assist. Callis then hands a steel baton to get the beatdown on Bailey and the rest, but Kenny Omega’s music hits and he comes running down, blowing past Hechicero on his way to the ring. Archer then goes for a chokeslam, but gets hit with the baton before Omega takes him to a knee. Bailey then helps clear the ring as we get a combo Buckshot Lariat and V-Trigger sending Archer to the mat. He then rolls out of the ring as Page and Omega embrace, joined by JetSpeed as the Don Callis Family regroups on the outside.
We then get a promo from Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa and Shirakawa shows how well her hand is by slapping Storm in the face. Storm is thrilled that she is back and we see both Shirakawa and Athena promise to send Shirakawa off the top of the 2300 Arena at Death Before Dishonor when the ROH Women’s World Championship is on the line.

He then continues the attack before the fight ends up in the ring. Allin then hits the rope, but gets laid out with a pop-up uppercut to pick up a near fall. Castagnoli then tells the announcers to clear out as he lifts Allin up for a gorilla press slam and sends Allin flying onto the announce desk.
Castagnoli then continues the attack on Allin. Castagnoli then continues beating Allin down and we see a couple of tables have been propped up in opposite corners. Castagnoli then starts mocking Allin, who looks for a guillotine choke. Castagnoli then rises to his feet, managing to lift Allin up before Allin counters for a sleeper hold while on the back of Castagnoli. Castagnoli then drops Allin to the mat over his shoulder. Allin is then back on his feet as Castagnoli charges at him, but Allin sidesteps and sees Castagnoli get run through one of the tables in the corner.
