The match starts off with both men locking up before Mark Davis overpowers Jon Moxley. Moxley then applies a wrist lock as Davis pushes him to the ropes. Davis then hits some shoulder tackles before hitting a jumping knee strike. Davis then hits some chops. Moxley then retaliates with some chops of his own, but pays the price after a sunset flip attempt goes wrong. The action then spills to the outside and Davis hits some vicious chops on Moxley.
Davis then misfires and hits the steel ring post. Davis’ hand is busted open. Moxley then hits a tope suicida. Moxley then wrenches Davis’ fingers and bites on them. The action is back outside the ring once again as Davis squashes Moxley against the barricade. Back in the ring, Davis tries for a high-flying move, but Moxley stops him. Moxley then hits a superplex on Davis. Both men then make it to their feet exchanging shots and another sunset flip attempt brings out Davis once more only for Moxley to slide out of the way. Moxley then starts fighting back as we find out that ten minutes remain in the match, but Davis takes Moxley down hard. Both men are back up as Davis fights off a shot from Moxley to hit a lariat off the ropes. A piledriver is blocked as Moxley escapes to the corner, catching Davis with a roll up for two. Davis is back in it with a gut-wrench into a piledriver, but Moxley narrowly kicks out at two.
Davis then cinches in a side headlock on Moxley, but Moxley fights to his feet before hitting Davis with a stomp sending him face first into the canvas. Back to his feet is Davis and he trades shots with Moxley who counters out of a back suplex to lock in a bulldog choke. Davis then quickly taps and the referee calls for the bell.

Commentary then runs down the rest of the lineup for tonight before we hear from “Hangman: Adam Page after his match at Grand Slam: Australia. Page promises that if MJF makes it to Revolution as champion he will ruin him. Page then tells MJF to look into his eyes and know he is telling the truth. Page then says he is going to end MJF.
AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR and Stokely then make their way down to the ring. Dax Harwood starts off by saying he has been racking his brain over the last week why The Young Bucks blindsided himself and Cash Wheeler from behind at AEW Grand Slam: Australia. He then says Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson were the best tag team in the world in 2016 and coined the term FTR, but now they’re sitting in second place to himself and Wheeler ten years later.
Stokely then says the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again as one expects a different result. He then says The Young Bucks shook hands with The Rascalz and Private Party following their Triple Threat #1 Contender’s Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship despite the fact they never would’ve done that a year ago.
Matt and Nick then sneak up behind FTR and hit Harwood and Wheeler with superkicks as Stokely is clueless and continues running his mouth about The Young Bucks’ families. Stokely then slowly turns around when he realizes that Matt and Nick are behind him, then begs them not to attack him. Matt and Nick then momentarily agree, but immediately turn around and superkick Stokely. Nick then grabs the microphone and says he and Matt want their AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW Revolution as he and Matt hold up the title belts. We then get a big pop as The Young Bucks make their way up the ramp and FTR check on Stokely.

Nightingale and Bayne then take each other out with double lariats in the middle of the ring.

The action then spills to the outside and the alliance between Shafir and Bayne is no more. Bayne then slams Shafir on the timekeeper’s table after a stiff battle. Nightingale then hits Bayne with an avalanche German Suplex. Shirakawa then hits a top shotgun dropkick and follows it up with the spinning backfist on Nightingale. We then get a video package looking at AEW Grand Slam: Australia, which culminated in MJF retaining his World Title in the main event.
Commentary then takes a moment to address the passing of Kevin Silfies, with Tony Schiavone and Bryan Danielson briefly sharing their experience working with him.
We then head back to ringside as “Hangman” Adam Page makes his way down to the ring. Commentary then talks about there being no physicality allowed tonight ahead of the World Title match at Revolution. Page then enters the ring and MJF makes his way down to the ring amidst a mixed reaction from the crowd. MJF grabs the mic as he starts running down Page, insisting that Page isn’t as good as these fans make him out to be. MJF then claims that he deserves to be the “main character” of AEW over Page. MJF then says he hates the crowd chanting “Cowboy S–t” whenever Page walks around. MJF then says what he hates most is that Page holds two wins over him, but insists that Page is just a lucky shot.
MJF then says he sees something the fans can’t. MJF then says he can smell it. MJF then says he can see it in Page’s eyes. MJF then says something’s off about Page and he can’t work out why. MJF then says maybe Page is in his own head because his boyfriends Omega and Swerve are fighting or because he has climbed the mountain to be world champ twice and both times he has crumbled under the pressure. MJF then says maybe Page thinks winning the title a third time might finally help him, but this is not the same man he faced last year. MJF then says Page is a lucky shot, but he thinks he’s all out of bullets. MJF then says on March 15th he looks forward to ending the myth of “Hangman” Adam Page and his “Cowboy S–t.” This then gets the chant from the fans before Page speaks up now.
Page then talks about the people carrying him to winning the world title twice and saw him beat MJF twice. Page then runs down MJF for picking his shot at Worlds End to take the title to collect the spoils of greater men. Page then says MJF said he hated him, but he hates MJF so much worse. Page then says it’s not because of the years of lying, cheating and depravity, it’s because when he looks at MJF he has to admit he has never met someone more like him. Page then says all the desperation he sees out of MJF, he is no better than that and he hates it. Page then says as much as everyone wants the title, he and MJF have always needed it. Page then says at Revolution he wants to end this for good forever.
Page then says he thinks MJF knows that this can’t just be a normal wrestling match, can it. Page then says so why don’t MJF think about a stipulation and pitch it because he has always known what this match should be so once they decide, they should let the people decide what this match should be. MJF then hears the fans chant “Texas Death” and says if Page thinks they are doing anything but a regular, normal, real wrestling match for his world title, then Page is out of his mind.
Page then calls MJF a coward. Page then tries to persuade MJF and says if he doesn’t win the AEW World Title at Revolution, he will never challenge for it as long as he lives. MJF then says he will need a week to think of a stipulation, but Page proposes a Texas Death Match before walking out.
We then head to the back, where we hear from Jon Moxley and The Death Riders (aside from a silent Wheeler Yuta as he is keeping his head low and covered from Grand Slam: Australia). Garcia then says family is not just some title for them. Moxley then wraps up by calling out Takeshita for a Continental Title Match with a twist: no time limit. He then says either Takeshita gets him or he gets Takeshita. Moxley then says whatever it takes to determine a winner.

Connors then fights back until Cassidy knocks him back, targeting Kidd for a dive only to be caught for an exploder. Connors then blindsides Cassidy again as Kidd drops Ishii.
