AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday Results (10/7)

Tony Schiavone introduces AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and his challenger for WrestleDream Samoa Joe. AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and Samoa Joe then make their way down to the ring for a face-to-face.

Schiavone thanks both men for agreeing to no physicality for this before giving the floor to Page. Page talks about six years of AEW and everything he has been involved in as part of that before saying he has never been more confused than when Samoa Joe lost his composure with him last week. Page then says he agreed to team with Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs to fight a battle he finished a long time ago and after he won the match for their team, Joe lost it. Page then talks about the attack and the fact that Joe yelled that he never beat him. Page then says Joe has been angry for a long time, most of all with himself and that has distracted him in this business. Page then makes it clear he didn’t asked for Joe to have this opportunity because of his words and actions last week, but because Joe deserves this shot.

Page then says Joe and The Opps are among those who put their time in to help ensure that he could have won this title and he appreciates Joe for it, but the repayment for his gratitude ends at the opportunity being offered. Page then says Joe has a chance to win the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream, but he will not let him win the title. The crowd then chants for Joe, who says that everything Page has said is absolutely true. Joe then says he shares some truths of his own and he doesn’t see the pinnacle of pro wrestling when he looks at Page as he sees a pretender. Joe then says the timely intervention of The Opps helped him get that title and without their help Page wouldn’t be the man right now.

Joe then says he did forget himself and he forgot that the prime target is the man who calls himself champion and Hangman Page is no champion. Joe then says when the two go at it, Page will have the chance to prove he is the champion he says he is and when it comes, Joe will choke him out. Joe then says Page will be able to make good on one thing and that is giving the world a champion they deserve. Page then takes umbrage with this, saying that who he is doesn’t stand in others’ opinion of him, it stands when the bell rings. Page then says for every shot he takes from Joe, he will give two back. Page then says he will prove that Joe will not outlast him, but he hopes that Joe brings the same passion and energy that he brought to All In so that he can know that he is the champion of the world. Both men then stare each other down and Page’s music hits.

We then see what happened earlier today, where The Conglomeration talk about their upcoming matches. It is then said that the word of the day is “multi-facetification.” Kyle O’Reilly then says he is ready to take the TNT Championship from Kyle Fletcher tonight and Orange Cassidy and “Big Tom” say they ready for their respective matches as well. We then get a huddle for the Conglomeration.

Singles Match: The Death Riders’ Jon Moxley vs. The Conglomeration’s “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii

The match starts off with both men staring each other down before trading strikes. Moxley then takes advantage with a knee strike, but Ishii fights back and forces Moxley to take a breather on the outside. Ishii then follows close before the two go back at it with chops until Moxley rakes the back of Ishii and sends him crashing into the ring post. This barely fazes Ishii and he takes control with some hard forearm strikes sending Moxley to the floor. Ishii then brings Moxley back in the ring, but is cut off by Marina Shafir on the apron who goes after the face and that allows Moxley to knock Ishii off the apron and to the floor.

Moxley still has control of the match as he stomps away at Ishii. Moxley then goes after the face of Ishii, who breaks away to absorb a series of strikes in the corner before hitting a hard forearm on Moxley. Ishii then follows it up with a brainbuster before hitting the ropes, only for Moxley to lock in a sleeper hold. Ishii then counters with a back suplex that sends Moxley away, but Moxley catches Ishii in the corner for a series of punches.

Moxley then mocks the crowd for a moment and this gives Ishii an opening for a powerbomb from the corner that gets him a two count. Moxley then counters out of a German suplex attempt, only to take a big headbutt and a lariat from Ishii for another near fall. Moxley then manages to get to his feet for a big boot and a lariat before Ishii fights back with an enziguiri, only for Moxley to hit a running knee of his own sending Ishii crashing to the canvas.

The referee then begins the count as Moxley slowly gets to his feet, suddenly firing up as Ishii gets back up as well. A lariat attempt by Ishii is then blocked for a cutter by Moxley, but it only gets him a two count. Moxley then brings Ishii up for a stalling piledriver, but Ishii is back on his feet. Moxley then hits a curb stomp on him for the cover and Ishii manages to kick out. A Paradigm Shift is blocked, allowing Ishii to hit Moxley with a running elbow. Ishii then goes for a side headlock on Moxley, attacking the eyes for added damage before Moxley gets back up to hit a Paradigm Shift. A cover by Moxley then gets a two, but Moxley quickly transitions into a choke and Ishii passes out as the referee calls for the bell.

Statlander and Storm will have to put their differences aside when they and Harley Cameron face the Triangle of Madness this week on Collision in trios action.

The Demand then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and The Hurt Syndicate follow.

Street Fight: The Hurt Syndicate (“The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley, “The Standard of Excellence” Shelton Benjamin and MVP) vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun)

The match starts off with both teams going at it on the ramp, with Lashley and Liona making their way to the ring as Liona takes Lashley to the mat. Liona then sees Lashley get to the corner and charges at him, only for Lashley to send him flying out of the ring. Kaun and Benjamin can be seen at ringside now before we see Ricochet and MVP in the ring. Ricochet then slaps MVP and this doesn’t bode well for Ricochet until GOA get involved for the save.

This then ends with Lashley bringing Liona to the outside as MVP pulls Ricochet out from under a table. Benjamin and Kaun then take their fight back into the ring as MVP hits a suplex sending Ricochet onto the ramp. MVP then goes after Kaun to help Benjamin out, leading to a 3-on-2 advantage against GOA until Ricochet comes leaping at the pile for a dive. All six men are now down on the floor.

Kaun then narrowly evades a chair shot before getting back in the ring. He then hits Benjamin and MVP with dropkicks before sending out Lashley and that leads to a dive. Liona then takes MVP down with a slam as Kaun brings Benjamin back in the ring. He and Ricochet then go after Lashley, who fights back with a double clothesline before Liona sends him down to the floor. Lashley then gets to his feet sending Liona toward the table, but takes a chair to the face on his way to sending Liona through it.

This then allows Liona and Ricochet to bring Lashley to another table at ringside, setting him up for an elbow drop by Kaun that sends Lashley through the table. Ricochet then goes after Benjamin in the ring, hitting a running knee as Liona sends MVP through the barricade. GOA then get back in the ring to attack Benjamin, but only gets a near fall for it as MVP tries to intervene only to be driven through a table by GOA. They then go after MVP some more until Benjamin makes his way back into the ring, with Ricochet fending both men off before Kaun slides in for the save. Ricochet then gets sent to the outside by Benjamin, who hits a thrust kick and a German suplex on Kaun to keep him down. He then charges at Kaun, but it’s Ricochet who takes the brunt of it.

Benjamin then brings Ricochet up for a powerbomb, but Kaun hands him a chair to fight out of it. Kaun then looks to go after Benjamin, but takes a spear from Lashley, who hits one on Ricochet as well. Lashley and Liona then attack with lariats before Liona gets taken down with a spear by Lashley. The fight then goes to the outside as Lashley sends Liona through a table propped up against the apron as back in the ring Ricochet finds himself surrounded by the Hurt Syndicate. They then trade shots on Ricochet before Benjamin sends Ricochet flying through a table with a German suplex for the win.

Back in the ring, it’s a tag to Luchasaurus who takes O’Ryan down with a stalling suplex. He then props O’Ryan up against the ropes for a chop to the chest as we see Perry blatantly removing the turnbuckle pad until the referee intervenes and this leads to Luchasaurus sending O’Ryan’s partner off the apron. Fletcher then continues to take control until he leaves the ring and gets distracted leading to a running knee off the apron by O’Reilly. Fletcher then returns to the ring and fights back.

O’Reilly then fights back with an elbow on Fletcher sending him to the corner. A forearm in the corner then gives O’Reilly an opening for some more strikes, setting up for a guillotine hammerlock but Fletcher fights back with a headbutt. O’Reilly then transitions to a triangle choke, but Fletcher hits him with a powerbomb to break free. O’Reilly then goes for a heel hook on Fletcher, who reaches the ropes for a break. The fight then heads to the apron where both men trade chops until O’Reilly drops Fletcher onto the hardest part of the ring. Fletcher then strikes back and looks for a powerbomb before O’Reilly sends him into the barricade. He then gets onto the apron for a running dropkick that drives Fletcher into the barricade before bringing him back in the ring.

Fletcher then dodges a missile dropkick and hits the ropes for a strike before looking for a sheer drop brainbuster. O’Reilly then fights out of it and grabs the arm of Fletcher, who makes him pay by sending him face-first into the turnbuckle. Both men then slowly get to their feet to trade strikes. They then each look for a suplex before O’Reilly hits a back suplex for a two count, but Fletcher is back up for a thrust kick. O’Reilly then picks the ankle before hitting a knee to the head, but it’s only good for two as Fletcher kicks out. O’Reilly then goes for an ankle lock but Fletcher breaks free, hoisting O’Reilly up for a sheer drop brainbuster. The damage he’s taken keeps him from capitalizing for a moment, but he runs at O’Reilly with a corner kick followed by another sheer drop brainbuster for the win.

The fight then makes its way to the apron, where Lane takes Moné out with a modified Heat Seeker for the cover but Moné gets a boot on the rope to stop the count.

A double knee strike in the corner is then evaded and Lane rolls up Moné for two. PAC then gets caught in the corner as Cassidy slams his head into the turnbuckle, then follows it up with a cross body but PAC escapes to the outside and he catches Cassidy on a dive for a Falcon Arrow to the floor. PAC then hits a missile dropkick sending Cassidy down hard to the canvas. He then mocks Cassidy before kicking away at his head, with Cassidy fighting back before PAC sends him into the ropes.
