AEW World Title Rematch Set For AEW Full Gear

The main event is officially set for AEW Full Gear 2025.

The main event of the October 29, 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite saw a “Fright Night 4-Way Fight” to determine who would challenge “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear. The match featured Bobby Lashley, Ricochet, Samoa Joe, and HOOK.

The match starts off with Joe delivering some right hands on Lashley. HOOK then delivers some right hands on Joe and both men exchange right hands before Lashley pulls Joe out of the ring and sends him crashing into the barricades and the ring steps. Ricochet then sends Lashley crashing onto the floor off the ring apron with a dropkick, but Lashley quickly recovers. Ricochet then backs into Lashley and HOOK hits a suplex on Ricochet.

In the closing moments of the match, Ricochet hits Lashley with a chair form behind. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch on HOOK. HOOK begins to fade and ultimately ends up tapping out before Lashley can break the hold. Joe gets the win and moves on to his title shot.

After the match, Powerhouse Hobbs and Kastuyori Shibata join Joe in the ring to celebrate Joe’s win. Tony Schiavone joins the trio in the ring, and informs Joe that he’ll be signing the contract for his Full Gear AEW World Championship match now. Five people dressed up in blow up costumes and one person in disguise enter the ring as Schiavone hands Joe the contract.

Joe says he wants to ensure the environment is safe, then tells Shibata and Hobbs to make sure he’s safe. Hobbs and Shibata beat down all the men in the costumes, then grab onto a person dressed up as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. Joe rips off his mask, revealing that it’s not “Hangman” Adam Page in disguise.

He clocks the man in the costume when he realizes it’s not Page, then signs the contract. Joe tells Page that the next AEW World Champion is standing right before him despite being the better man on Page. Schiavone then proposes a toast to Joe, and Hobbs grabs a bottle of beer for himself, Joe, and Shibata. Schiavone grabs a beer of his own and proposes a toast.

When the camera zooms in, we see the person dressed as Schiavone is in fact Page. He rains down right hands on Joe and continues beating him down until security runs down to the ring and holds back Page as the show comes to a close.
