The close relationship between WWE and TNA has raised questions regarding the payment structure for these crossover appearances between the two companies. This includes talent recently released by WWE who are now competing in TNA.
According to Fightful Select TNA wrestlers that appear in NXT are paid per appearance, and based on their involvement. For example, wrestlers who are brought in but not used get paid the lowest rated, while TNA wrestlers who actually wrestle at NXT shows get a higher rate, with the highest amount reserved for TNA wrestlers that wrestle in the main event on NXT shows.
The TNA wrestlers involved in the main event of the recent NXT Showdown event received a higher payout than other TNA talent who appeared earlier on the card.
Fightful also notes that they were told by NXT wrestlers who have appeared on TNA shows that they did not receive additional pay for those appearances. The report adds that they can’t confirm that that has been the case.
