John Cena and AJ Styles put on a classic match at WWE Crown Jewel in Perth. Following the event, John Cena & AJ Styles Receive Standing Ovation Backstage.
Fightful Select is reporting that the match between AJ Styles and John Cena received a standing ovation once they returned to the back after their match.
It was also noted that Styles was not aware the special intro video would be played prior to the bout. There are also no expected issues regarding the “Bullet Club” references that were made during the show.
John Cena ended up winning the match that featured homages to WWE legends, with a Tombstone Piledriver to Attitude Adjustment.
John Cena only has four more remaining dates in his WWE career, including Survivor Series: WarGames and Saturday Night’s Main Event. His last match will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on Saturday, December 13 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
