According to Deadline, “The Scottish Psychopath” has officially joined the cast of Highlander, where he will star alongside Henry Cavill. McIntyre is set to play Angus MacLeod, the brother of Cavill’s character, Connor MacLeod.
It will be directed by Chad Stahelski and produced by Amazon MGM Studios’ United Artists. The remake also stars Russell Crowe, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Max Zhang and Dave Bautista. The script was written by Michael Finch.
The original 1986 film saw Christopher Lambert play Connor, an immortal warrior fighting a centuries-long battle across time.
