Former AEW coach Sarah Stock strongly criticizes WrestleDream main event spot

Former AEW coach and producer Sarah Stock has spoken out against a controversial moment from the main event of AEW WrestleDream. Express sympathy that the angle could lead to imitation among young fans.

The “I Quit” match between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin closed out the show.  In the final sequence, Moxley and his stablemates, the Death Riders, brought an aquarium tank into the ring and filled it with water. Moxley then appeared to forcibly hold Allin’s head underwater, attempting to force a submission.

Stock, who worked for AEW as a coach and producer from March 2025 until earlier this year, posted to Twitter to express her concerns about the spot.

“You know who should stop this? Mothers. With their remote control. This is worse than the plastic bag over the head. Kids are going to end up dead trying this stuff at home,” she wrote.

Stock worked as a trainer in WWE from 2015 through 2020.
