On the sixth anniversary of AEW Dynamite, “Hangman” Adam Page teamed with The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs and Samoa Joe) to defeat The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Daniel Garcia) in a trios match.
After the match, Page handed Joe his AEW Trios Championship, which Joe dropped on the floor, leading to he and Hangman getting into a tense shouting match, being pulled apart by security. When he was pulled away, Joe told Page that he “didn’t beat him” for the title, eyeing up a title match for the AEW World Championship.
Backstage, Hangman said that he looks up to Joe, and that he will give him a shot at the title at WrestleDream.
