Hangman Page Defeats Samoa Joe At AEW WrestleDream.
The match starts off with both men locking up. Page then looks to nail Joe with a shoulder tackle, but Joe stays standing and hits Page with a shoulder tackle of his own. Page then nails Joe with a kick to his face, but Joe runs over Page with a clothesline and hits a kick on Page’s spine.
Page hits a shotgun dropkick on Joe. Joe then delivers some stomps on Page’s face, then hits an Atomic Drop on Page and follows it up with a boot. He then hits a senton on Page and goes for a pin, but Page kicks out.
Joe then hits Page with a scoop powerslam, but Page delivers some chops on Joe and follows it up with an enzuigiri. Joe then responds with a German suplex on Page, then hits a powerbomb on him and transitions into an STF.
Both men then men teeter on the ropes, but Joe cinches in the Coquina Clutch on Page. Page then escapes and responds with a Buckshot Lariat on Joe for the win.
After the match, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata join Joe in the ring. Joe then shakes hands with Page and raises his hand, but The Opps suddenly turn their backs on Page and begin delivering stomps on him. They then leave Page laid out in the ring and head to the back as officials check on Page.
