The first-ever WWE NXT vs TNA Showdown event took place tonight, with four matches taking place. One of those matches was a Tag Team Championship Unification Match that saw DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) put their NXT Tag Team Championship on the line against Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy’s TNA World Tag Team Titles.
Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin hoped to get an early advantage by attacking Matt and Jeff Hardy alongside their other DarkState teammates, Cutler James and Saquon Shugars, who were sent to the back by the referee to even the odds.
In the end, Jeff Hardy scored the pin on Lennox, following Matt Hardy’s Twist of Fate with his trademark Swanton Bomb.
