As noted,John Cena retired from his in-ring wrestling career at this past December’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Washington, D.C.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select is reporting that their sources within WWE stated that Cena is currently not planned to be among the class for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame inductees. It was reported that those spoken to stated that Stephanie McMahon is currently expected to be the headliner for this year’s class.
Similar to last year inductees class, it was also reported that WWE officials also currently are planning for an “Immortal Moments” induction to be part of this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class and ceremony. Last year’s class featured the iconic Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart match at WrestleMania 13 as the inaugural “Immortal Moments” category induction.
Stephanie McMahon has been the only inductee officially announced for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class at the moment. The ceremony is expected to take place during WrestleMania week in April, but an exact date has not been announced just yet.
