Kris Statlander will have her first title defense on Tomorrow AEW Dynamite.
In a social media post on Tuesday, September 23, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Statlander will face Mina Shirakawa with the championship on the line.
The announcement comes just days after Kris Statlander beat Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter and Thekla in a four-way match at All Out on Saturday to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Also set for Wednesday’s Dynamite is a six-man tag team match pitting the Don Callis Family against a trio led by Mark Briscoe. Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero will represent Callis’ faction against Briscoe, Hologram, and a mystery partner yet to be revealed.
