During This Week Episode of WWE NXT, Lainey Reid defeated Faby Apache, with some help from Natalya.
The match starts off with Faby hitting a drop kick and a head scissors take down. Reid then goes to the floor and Faby hits a cannonball off the apron. Faby then sends Reid into the ring. Reid then hits a round kick and both women go to a test of strength. Reid then hits a sunset flip for a near fall. Faby then hits a back slide and a bridge for a near fall. Reid then gets a rollup. Faby then hits an Edge-O-Matic.
Faby then misses a splash into the corner, but Faby hits a thrust kick for a near fall. Reid then hits a kick and she gets a near fall. Faby then escapes a slam and hits a German suplex for a near fall.
Faby then goes up top and misses a swanton while Nattie makes her way over the ringside barrier. Reid then hits a running knee for the win.
With this win, Lainey Reid will face Candice LeRae in the finals of the number one contenders tournament on the September 23rd episode of NXT. The winner will challenge Sol Ruca for the Women’s Speed Title at NXT No Mercy.
