TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe in a No DQ match took place at the AEW Full Gear.
The match starts off with both men going at it until Briscoe tries to end things early twice, only to be sent out of the ring by Fletcher. Fletcher then leaves the ring, but takes a chair to the face by Briscoe, who sends Fletcher to the barricade to stay on the attack.
He then sends Fletcher into the ring steps before launching another chair at Fletcher and he sets the chair up to let Fletcher have a seat. Briscoe then gets onto the apron for a running dive, but Fletcher catches him and slams him onto the chair with a brainbuster instead.
He then grabs the head of Briscoe to send him into the ring steps as the crowd tells Don Callis at ringside how they feel about him. Fletcher then looks for a suplex on the steps, but he is swept onto them instead and Briscoe follows it up with a hard chop. He then reaches under the ring for some weapons, pulling out some chairs and a large stepladder.
He then sets up the ladder against a couple of chairs, propping Fletcher up against this before entering the ring for a cannonball dive only for Fletcher to dodge at the last second and forcing Briscoe to crash into the contraption instead. Fletcher then goes for a weapon of his own, grabbing a ladder before coming back into the ring and leaving to grab Briscoe to bring him back in as well.
Fletcher then slams the ladder against him, busting Briscoe open as he props the ladder up in the corner before setting Briscoe up and Briscoe sends Fletcher to the mat. Fletcher is back up to his feet with the ladder in his hands, only for Briscoe to hit a missile dropkick sending the ladder into his face. We now see Fletcher is busted open as Briscoe leaves the ring for another weapon, pulling a table out from underneath.
He then sets the table up as Fletcher goes after him, only to be sent onto the table where Briscoe slams a chair on him. Briscoe then climbs the turnbuckle, only for Fletcher to roll off and walk away and as Briscoe pursues him, Fletcher hits a half and half suplex sending Briscoe onto the floor.
Fletcher then starts setting up some chairs as Briscoe starts to stir, getting to his feet as Fletcher finishes what he set up only to take another chair right in the face by Briscoe. He then sets Fletcher up on the chairs before climbing the turnbuckle, but a distraction from Don Callis allows Fletcher to intervene, sending Briscoe through the table instead.
Another table has been brought into the ring as Briscoe slowly gets back to his feet to get back into the ring. The table then gets propped up against the corner as Briscoe tries to go for a Jay Driller and Fletcher counters with an Alabama Slam sending Briscoe through the table in the corner.
Briscoe. then manages to fight back on a powerbomb attempt, only to be dropped hard by Fletcher who brings in a bag to pour out a pile of thumbtacks. Briscoe. then tries to fight back, but Fletcher grabs a handful of tacks and shoves them into Briscoe’s mouth before slamming him in the face. He then looks for another powerbomb, but Briscoe counters and drops Fletcher onto the tacks with a brainbuster for a two count.
Briscoe then leaves the ring, pulling out a table with barbed wire attached and a ladder. He then props the table against the apron and brings it into the ring before grabbing a chair on his way back in. As he sets the ladder up, he sees Fletcher trying to get away and this leads to a fight on the apron until Briscoe hits a leaping neckbreaker to send Fletcher through the chairs on the outside.
Briscoe then sets a table up over the pile of tacks before climbing the ladder, only for Fletcher to intervene by climbing the ladder himself until Briscoe leaps off the ladder for a Froggy Bow sending Fletcher through the table. Briscoe then goes for a cover and Fletcher manages to barely kick out at two to stay in the match. Briscoe then leaves the ring to bring the barbed wire table in as Fletcher is handed a screwdriver by Callis.
Briscoe then brings Fletcher to his feet and blocks a screwdriver shot, but Fletcher manages to jab him in the head with it anyway, sending Briscoe to the corner. He then licks the screwdriver in an act of defiance and this costs him as Briscoe hits another brainbuster onto the tacks for a near fall.
Briscoe then climbs the turnbuckle, but Fletcher shoves the referee into him to stop it. Fletcher still has the screwdriver and he pokes it through the turnbuckle pad, looking for a very nasty brainbuster but Briscoe stops him. A cutthroat driver is then stopped by a screwdriver to the head and Fletcher hits a sheer drop brainbuster for the cover only for Briscoe to kick out.
Briscoe then gets to his feet as he heads to the opposite corner, where Fletcher starts to intercept him but Briscoe fends him off, setting up for a BT Bomb sending Fletcher through the barbed wire table. He then follows up with a Jay Driller for the win.
