Mercedes Mone Defeats Mina Shirakawa At AEW WrestleDream, Claim Her 11th Title

One of the featured championship match at AEW WrestleDream 2025 saw Mercedes Mone issue an open challenge for her TBS Championship. The match was promoted with the stipulation that another reigning champion would answer the challenge, with both titles on the line. Answering the call was Mina Shirakawa, the Interim ROH Women’s World Television Champion. 

The match starts off with both women locking up. Shirakawa then cinches in a Bow and Arrow on Moné, but Moné hits a lung blower on Shirakawa and locks in a shoulder submission on her. She then follows it up with The Three Amigos. Moné then hits a meteora on Shirakawa, then hits a Sunset Flip on her in the corner and looks to follow it up with a second meteora.

In the closing moments of the match,Mone pulled out a roll-up pin and used the ropes for leverage to secure the victory.

With the victory, Mone now holds eleven championships across multiple promotions. She becomes the new Interim ROH Women’s World Television Champion.

Following the match, AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander made her return and confronted Mone in the ring. When Mone took a swing, Statlander ducked and dropped her.
