Mike Santana is your new TNA World Champion after defeating Trick Williams at Bound For Glory.
The match starts off with Santana hitting a boot to the face of Williams before hitting him with some hard punches. Williams then leaves the ring but he is pursued by Santana, who sends him into the barricade for some shots. Santana then charges at Williams, who blocks it with a boot before being sent back into the barricade.
Williams took Santana to the ringside area where Santana’s daughter was seated in the front row. Williams asked her, “Who’s your daddy?” and was slapped by her in response. Back in the ring, Williams executed a Uranage on Santana from the top rope, which resulted in a near fall.
Williams grabbed the TNA World Championship title belt and attempted to use it as a weapon. As he lunged, Santana ducked, and the belt went flying. After an exchange of kicks, Santana hit Williams with his finisher, Spin the Block, for a two-count. Williams’ lawyer then got on the ring apron and argued with the referee. Santana pulled the lawyer into the ring and hit him with a clothesline.
Santana then turned around and was hit by Williams’ finisher, the Trick Shot, for a near fall. Williams attempted a second Trick Shot, but Santana moved. Santana blocked a Uranage attempt from Williams and hit a clothesline, followed by a successful Spin the Block to win the TNA World Championship.
After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva is ready to present the title to Santana, but Nic Nemeth’s music hits as one of the co-winners of the Call Your Shot Gauntlet comes out with the trophy ready to cash in his title shot but before he can the lights go out. When the light came back on, Elijah was present and hit Nemeth over the head with a guitar. During this, Frankie Kazarian entered the ring and told the referee he wanted to use his Call Your Shot, despite not having the trophy. Santana hit Kazarian with a lariat and then handed the TNA World Championship belt to his daughter at ringside.
