More Details On Andrade el Idolo Joining AEW After Recent WWE Exit

Andrade El Idolo returns on the October 1 episode of AEW Dynamite and attacked Kenny Omega to align with the Don Callis Family, it was confirmed that Andrade has now signed a full-time deal with All Elite Wrestling. With no non-compete clause after being fired by WWE earlier this summer.

Traditionally, WWE contracts include a standard 90-day non-compete clause, which prevents released talent from appearing elsewhere immediately.

Pwinsider is reporting that Andrade was released without a non-compete clause due to multiple violations of WWE’s Wellness Policy over the past year. WWE chose to cut him entirely instead of paying him during the non-compete period, making Andrade a free agent immediately.

Andrade had previously been announced for independent events in Mexico and the US before signing with AEW.
