Ronda Rousey recently appeared on latest episode of The Lapsed Fan podcast where she talks about a lot of things. But one question was asked that if wrestling was in her “rearview mirror,” Rousey replied, “I mean — pretty much, I’d say so.”
Rousey also explained her main motivation for joining WWE.
Rousey said: “I got into WWE because I wanted to be able to wrestle my girls, you know, the Four Horsewomen, and be able to wrestle my friends. And they kind of dangled that carrot for my whole run and never let it happen. And then the second run, they kept dangling it. And then by the end I was like, ‘I’m f**king leaving unless I can wrestle Shayna [Baszler]. And that’s how I was able to do it at all. And now nobody even works there anymore.”
Rousey’s last WWE match took place at SummerSlam 2023, where she fell in defeat to Baszler in an MMA Rules match.
