Sami Zayn Reflects on His Latest Run as WWE US Champion. Sami Zayn won the WWE United States Championship on August 29, 2025 on SmackDown. He eventually lost the championship on the October 17, 2025 edition of SmackDown in a surprise match against the returning Ilja Dragunov.
Taking to social media, Zayn reflected on his title run and stated that he felt it was great and memorable.
After Dragunov title win, He has carried on the US Title open challenge himself, retaining against Aleister Black last week.
