WWE is planning a huge championship match for John Cena Ahead of tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Boston.
According to a new report from Bodyslam.net, John Cena is scheduled to challenge “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship on the show. This is a development in Cena’s ongoing farewell tour, as the Intercontinental Championship is the only title he has never won in his WWE career. WWE originally had this match planned for Survivor Series, but it has been moved up apparently for Mysterio vs. Rey Mysterio, which was teased a week ago.
Tonight’s show, which emanates from Cena’s hometown of Boston, is already a stacked card as it will kick off the “Last Time Is Now” tournament to determine Cena’s final opponent for his retirement match in December.
