Swerve Strickland will face off against Josh Alexander at AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming.
AEW announced on Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision that Strickland will meet Alexander on this coming Saturday’s show. The match was set up when Alexander confronted Strickland Saturday, saying he was the one who deserved a World title shot and not Strickland. He said during Strickland’s injury absence, it’s not longer Strickland’s house but Don Callis’ house. Strickland issued a challenge for Cardiff which was later accepted.
This bout marks Strickland’s first singles match since his defeat to Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door in August, while Alexander has not competed in a singles match since earning a countout victory over Kota Ibushi in October.
