After this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite went off the air in a post-show segment. AEW President Tony Khan came out to make an announcement. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reports that AEW Dynamite commentator Taz was informed that he’ll be inducted into the 2300 Arena’s Hardcore Hall of Fame.
AEW roster came out wearing the Team Taz Dojo shirts with KISS’ “War Machine” played. Taz’s ECW theme was a riff on the song. Taz’s wife and HOOK then appeared.
Taz joked that he got worked by his wife and son and that it wasn’t the first time he was worked in the arena, thanking AEW and the fans before talking about how AEW has a fighting spirit like ECW’s but bigger and with more money. Khan then announced that they would pay tribute to Taz when his banner is raised in the building at the 8/30 AEW Collision.
