Thunder Rosa has been absent from All Elite Wrestling television since her appearance at AEW All In: Texas back in July, where she competed in the Casino Gauntlet match. Following that match, Rosa quietly disappeared from the company.
During a recent interview with Midnight Movie Crash, Thunder Rosa stated when she might be making her in-ring return.
“I’m actually going to be part of the mega procession of Catrinas, which is in Mexico City in Reforma. There’s like 3 million people (that) are going to be part of this thing and I’m one of the people that are being, you know, pulling the flag in the front. So I’m really excited as a Catrina myself. It’s been, it’s been a journey and having to celebrate my culture in America and now I have to celebrate my culture in Mexico. That’s really fun. I’m also doing a lot of work with the NFL and the Texans that’s been a lot of fun and right now I’m just focusing on continuing my rehab for the injuries that I just had a couple months ago and I have really good news. Everything’s going really well so I’m expecting to return to the ring fairly soon.” h/t to Fightful.com for the transcription.
