All Elite Wrestling stars Queen Aminata and Deonna Purrazzo took to social media this week to voice their frustration over limited opportunities in the company.
Aminata posted on the social media, “I’m just gonna put this out there ( cough… cough …. Tk lol ): I need more promo time and I would love to be in these mixed tag matches”. AEW wrestler Deonna Purrazzo replied to the post, adding, “Sign me up too…”.
In replies to fans, Aminata commented further on the topic. In response to a fan who said she needed more promo time, Aminata wrote, “I do… wanna be good at it so I need to practice more”. When asked who she would want to team with, she stated, “I’m open minded,” and in response to a request for a match with Sareee, she replied, “I’m down for whatever and whoever”.
The timing of their comments comes as AEW is planning an expansion of its women’s division. Tony Khan recently announced the creation of AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships. With both wrestlers speaking out publicly, the spotlight now turns to their future in AEW and whether the promotion will give them the opportunities they’re asking for
