An update has emerged regarding the status of Jay White’s.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), White is still recovering from surgeries he had in 2025 to repair his hand and his shoulder. However, AEW sources have informed Sapp that White is not cleared for an in-ring return at this time. Nor is he expected back in the company imminently. White is not currently factored into any of AEW’s creative plans.
White has been out of action since late-March 2025 after suffering a broken handand also underwent shoulder surgery during his absence. The 33-year-old made a surprise appearance during last weekend’s Wrestle Kingdom 20 as part of Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement ceremony.
